Shezelle: Promo Shot (First Image) + Behind the scenes snaps w/ my iPhone

I remember the first time I heard Shezelle sing… we were on the set of Taio Cruz’s videoshoot for “Moving on” in ‘07 & while we were lounging outside on our lunch break… she sang accapella for me and another colleague. I immediately got goosebumps & the first thing I said was, “why aren’t you doing this professionally as a solo artist?”

During those years, she was a back-up singer for other high profile artists…but I knew with her raw talent & marketability that she had a lot of potential to make it far on her own.

Needless to say, I’m glad she finally took the leap after perfecting & honing her skills as a solo artist. She also chose a sound that is uniquely her own which resonates with her personality and makes her stand out from the crowd.

Although we rarely saw each other over the years, we’ve stayed in touch via web on social media. For our last collab, she hired me to do her makeup for a promotional shoot with Steve Carty. It was a lot of fun catching up & collaborating with other great talents on set such as Janet Jackson (Hair Stylist).
