It was amazing to have Bernadette Morra in front of my makeup brushes this week! Being that she’s an editor-in-chief of a top publication, Fashion Magazine, I was nervous to have a possible discerning customer. Lucky for me, the opposite was true ~ She was far from fussy and was such a lovely host :)
After getting a peak at her beautiful dress, she pretty much gave me free range to come up with a look that would compliment her ensemble. The dress was designed by celebrated Canadian designer, Lucian Matis, featuring Aleks Antonijevic’s fine art ballet photography.
I incorporated some classic staples from Stila’s extensive collection along with some new items to create her evening look.
She has healthy glowing skin so it was a breeze to work on her complexion. I used a mix of Stila’s Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer for lasting flawless coverage.
She usually likes to play up her lips with bold colours but I decided to make her eyes the focal point based on the palette I selected. I still added a touch of colour on the lips but kept it subtle so as not to overpower the eyes.
I’m happy to report that she loved the final look!
Before Bernadette headed to the National Ballet Gala, I snapped a quick iPhone photo of her full look using natural light.
