On set doing makeup & hair for Paris Li’s Fall/Winter 2012/13 Campaign Shoot featuring Steph from Elite Models.
Paris Li wanted the makeup & hair to look fresh & young ~ So I applied minimal base coverage on Steph to ensure her natural skin shines through and only applied concealer where needed.
Steph naturally had brightly pigmented lips so I toned the redness down by brushing a thin layer of foundation then applied a rosy pink shade, topped with a dab of lip gloss. I used a bit of the same shade on her cheeks. The soft pink tones and hint of sheen on the lips adds a youthful essence to her beauty.
I wanted her eyes to have an innocent, almost ethereal look to them so I added a light champagne shade to the inner corners & on the brow bone. I kept the eyeshadow neutral, and focused on contouring the crease and slightly shaded the lower lash area with the same soft brown. I fanned the lashes outwards while applying the mascara top & bottom to emphasize the wide-eyed look. I used a powder shadow to fill in the brows so they look groomed but still quite natural. I altered the look for the campaign shots by adding a hint of gun metal grey smoked out & paled down the lips a touch…
We had a laid back day listening to 70’s funk records while shooting the look book portion ~ then kicked it in high gear for the campaign portion to utilize the dwindling sun light. Overall, a fun project showcasing beautiful, sophisticated fashion pieces.
